Will and Court Records:

I Caleb Welsh being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this instrument of writing as my last will and testament,
1st, I give and bequeath unto my Son Asa Welsh, one negro Boy named John to him and his heirs forever.
2nd. I give and bequeath unto my Son William Welsh on negor boy named George, to him and his heirs forever.
3rd. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth one negro woman named Lucinda and her children named Ann, and all the future increase of the Said negro woman and her female child Ann and also one Bed and furniture and Bedstead, To her and her Heirs forever.
4th. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Falby, one negro Boy named Kinion, to her and Heirs forever.
5th. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Cynthia, one negro Girl named Eliza, and her future increase herafter, also one bed and furniture and bedsread, To her her heirs forever.
6th. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Jane one negor boy named Ransom, also, cone bed and furniture. To her and her heirs forever.
7th. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Melinda one negro Girl name Louisa, and her increase hereafter, and on bed and furniture and bedstead.
8th. I do will and bequeath unto the four children of my Deceased Son, James Welsh the sum of Two hundred Dollars, to be raised out of my estate, and to be equally divided between them, and it is my wish that my executors herin after appointed shall hold the said Sum of Two hundred Dollars, in their possession, and lay it in the education of said children, or in Such manner as ther may decrn most beneficial or be the interest of Said children, and to pay to each of them as they come of age their several portions.
It is my wish and desire, that my land, horses, cattle, hogs and other stock of all descriptions, together with my household an Kitchen Furniture, plantation tools, and every other article of mine,not before willed or dispose of, shall be sold by my Executors and after paying the Sum before willed and all my just debts; to divide the balance of the money (if any) between all my then Surviving children or their heirs, and the four children of my son James, Counting them collectively as one heir.
And I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Asa Welsh and John Starlling Junior, to be the executors of this my last will and testament, utterly disanuling any and evry former Wills, Testaments or legacies, by me fornerly made, Constituting them and no other as my Sole executors, signed Sealed and acknowledged by the said Caleb Welsh as his last Will and Testament in the
Presence of us the subscribing witnesses on the twenty-eight day of Aug. 1826.

Newton who being duly sworn on oath sith that he was present & saw the Testator Caleb Welsh seal and acknowledge the foregoing last will & Testament of said Testator as his last will & Testament and for the puposes therin mentioned & that said Testator at the time of signing his said las will and Testament was of soind & disposing mind and,e,ory (theory?) and this deponent further swears that Isaac d Newton Jess Scarbough together with this witness signed their names as witnesse to the same in the presence of the Testator in each others presence -
