Mrs. Frances Day, whose maiden name was Hamby, was born in Pickens county, S. C., April 21st 1808; was married to Reuben Day in 1826; moved to Cherokee County, Ga., in 1852; where she remained until she died March 8th 1875. She was the mother of ten children, five of whom, with an affectionate husband, survive. W. C. Holbrook
